Miami Performing arts center gets millions -- and a new name

The new Miami performing arts center got a multi-million dollar name change today, courtesy of two separate gifts from Carnival Corporation and the Knight Foundation.

MIAMI — Miami Performing Arts Center Foundation announced today landmark multimillion-dollar gifts from Carnival Corporation & plc and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, two Miami-based organizations whose involvement with the Center dates back to the planning stages.
